So whatever happened to
bluepenguinphoto
Any way??

Well, it's been an interesting learning experience.....

I found out the hard way about DNS registration, and how it's infinitley easier if you change hosts while you still have a couple of weeks left with your old host, rather than let the (membership, subscription?) drop, and try to register your domain with the new host.

I also learned the maxim "you get what you pay for" includes hosting services for the internet, and that $25 per year gets you a cheap-ass lame-O host that get's all "term's of the contract" on you when you tell them to kiss off......but I'm not bitter (really...)

Currently, the name has been taken by some cheesy outfit selling anything having to do with "Blue-Penguin", or Blue-Photo", or "Penguin-Photo", or just anything having to do with Blue, or Photo, or Penguins. I half suspect it's a taunt to get me to try to re-own (and thereby pay for) the old DNS name. Well screw that, they can have it and choke on it.

Originally, I thought to start a photography business using the Web as a low-effort / low-cost device for getting my stuff out there. THEN I find that you have to advertise the snot out of yourself, and be all kinds of pushy to just get enough work to eat. SO, I am going to stick with the regular day job and do photography when I feel the urge.....Unless I win the lottery......or get a killer shot of some current news event....

This does NOT mean, however, that I'd be opposed to making a few bucks here and there shooting a small wedding, or birthday, or event, or the like........
